2012 KSHA Convention Call for Papers

Carefully read all instructions before completing and submitting this form. (Note: Failure to follow instructions may result in rejection of the proposal.) Questions can be directed to the KSHA Office.

KSHA's policies for accepting papers:
The Convention Committee will be guided in the selection of the pages by quality, distribution on subject matter, timelines, content, popular demand, program balance, and broad-based membership participation. Presenters must present in the time period and format assigned by the Convention Committee. Proposals that are incomplete or do not follow the guidelines will be returned to the primary presenter for completion or correction. KSHA does not accept late submissions. Please observe all deadlines.

If your proposal is accepted:
The appropriate Convention Chair will notify you of interest in your topic promptly and will discuss days/times of your presentation. Chosen presenters will receive a "Memorandum of Understanding" confirming the details of their presentation (s).

All presenters are required to register and pay the appropriate convention registration fee to participate in functions and attend sessions.

Handout Information:
In the interest of defraying some of the expense associated with presenting at the convention, KSHA will be posting presenter's handouts to the website two weeks prior to the convention.

  • Handouts must be sent in an electronic format to the KSHA Office.

  • Omit unnecessary images and photos. Include only those relevant to the topic. If your presentation contains a large number of images resulting in a large file, we may find it necessary to convert your handouts to text only.

  • Handouts are limited to 20 pages.

  •  Forward handouts to kshaoffice@ksha.info  no later than December 15, 2011. Handouts will be posted online two weeks prior to the convention.

If selected, information from your proposal will be used in printed material provided at the convention. Please keep this in mind as you complete the following information and be as accurate as possible.

MAC Users - Please note that AV companies are equipped for PCs.  If you are planning to use a MAC with an LCD projector, you must bring the appropriate cords to adapt your MAC to the PC LCD cords.

Refer to Requirements for Submission for audiovisual requirements. All AV requests are subject to approval by the Convention Committee. Approval of AV requests will be provided in the Presenter Confirmation Notification. AV is not provided for poster presentations. Lap Tops are not provided for any presentations.
