Position:  Speech Pathologist
Come join a wonderful team of speech-language pathologists in beautiful Lexington, KY!  The University of Kentucky Healthcare Speech-Language Pathology service is seeking a full time speech language pathologist to meet patient needs in our Level I Trauma Center and Kentucky Children's Hospital. Preferably, candidates will have experience in an acute care setting, with opportunities for specialization in the following areas: dysphagia, pediatric feeding and swallowing, neurogenic communication disorders, pediatric speech and language, tracheostomy/ventilator dependent population, and traumatic brain injury.  Some supervision of graduate level students will also be expected. The work schedule for this position will include days with weekend/holiday coverage.  Candidates should hold a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, should be eligible for KY State Licensure, and should hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association.  CFY candidates will be considered.

Valid Kentucky State License or interim license as a Speech Language Pathologist required.  Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Hearing Association or in the case of an interim license, is in their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) required.  Prior experience in acute care, skilled nursing, and outpatient settings is preferred.  BLS preferred at hire, required within 90 days after hire. Flexible to work schedule; available to work.Diagnose disorders and provide therapy for clients / patients who demonstrate disorders of communication. Provide instruction and supervision of student interns. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimum patient care.
